Here are some recent pictures of our church family - we are never happy with "just a church service" that doesn't include hugs, fellowship, and food (or at least coffee :-) Jesus has given us His bond of Love that goes beyond skin color, age and level of maturity in our Christian walk. We are one in Him, the redeemed Body of Christ celebrating her Lord and Savior!

What an awesome day we had! About 300 friends and guests from the community showed up to celebrate with us the birth of our wonderful Lord and Savior. Different from past years, we first met in our new sanctuary where Kids' Church performed their musical and we heard the Good News of the greatest and best gift of all times: Jesus! Then everybody moved over into the beautifully decorated Rec gym for food, fellowship, and fun (and gifts, of course :-) Despite the sunny and mild weather, it really was a great and "christmassy" celebration!
Many thanks to our friends from Denver and Ohio who came to help make this day such a great blessing, and of course to everyone from near and far away who sent checks and/or packages to bless the community with gifts and food. Also a biiig Thank you to all the faithful servants from our church family - you guys pitched in and just outdid yourselves today!

Sanctuary Dedication November 6, 2011
Building of the "old" Rec ~ Fall 1998
From the fall of 1998 to the fall of 2011, God has done an amazing, miraculous work in and through the Re*Creation & Worship Center in Oglala. On Sunday Nov 6th, we celebrated His faithfulness. We would not be where we are today without Him!
We had an awesome time celebrating and fellowshiping together with our church family as well as many old friends and guests who have been part of this ministry over the years. Kids' Church led us in worship, and most of us had a tear in their eyes when Tim Harris shared a little bit of his testimony, about how it all began...
As Thanksgiving drew near, we set this Sunday apart to just praise our wonderful Heavenly Father for His continuous blessing and support of this ministry, His unfailing Love to us and the Lakota Oyate, and His Light that came into the world so that we too can be "A Light in the darkness". Thank you, Jesus!

Easter 2011
We celebrated Easter Sunday with the community sharing the Good News of Jesus' resurrection and His forgiveness of sins. After church we enjoyed a good dinner and the kids (or not just them?!? :-) went on a egg hunt on the playground.
